Dr. Saldaña is an Associate Professor (Applied Mathematics/Computational Science) in the Mathematics Department, School of Science and Engineering, Ateneo de Manila University.

He is also the Editor-in-Chief of the Philippine Information Technology Journal (PITJ) and the Managing Editor of the Philippine Computing Journal (PCJ), official publication of the Computing Society of the Philippines (CSP).
